How to Install Windows 7 On Mac Using Bootcamp

This is a step by step tutorial on how to install Windows 7 on your Mac via Bootcamp. Even though this tutorial shows how to install Windows 7, the same tutorial will work if you want to install any other version of Windows: XP or Windows Vista. Things you need before Installing Windows 7: 1. Intel based Mac. 2. Copy of Windows 7 CD 3. Copy of Leopard or Snow Leopard CD ( For Drivers) Installation Process: 1. Open Bootcamp Assistance. 2. Partition your Hard Drive to your liking. 3. Insert Windows 7 CD (Make sure you have a copy of the serial number) 4. Computer will restart into Windows 7 Setup; follow the steps. 5. After Installation insert your Snow Leopard or Leopard OS Cd ( For Divers) 6. You will be prompted with a driver installation menu follow the steps to install the drivers. 7. CONGRATS! YOUR WINDOWS 7 INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE! 8. Now to select Windows 7 HOLD DOWN THE OPTION KEY while your computer is restarting then select which operating system you want to use. I’m trying to follow the steps in the video, but whenever I reach the boot camp part to regulate the partition – I get this problem. There is no windows partition I can regulate on.

Can you fix my problem? After 2:35 it starts installing all the files. During that time it asks me to put in CD for drivers (mac driver). However mac will not allow me to eject the cd and put in the mac dvd. Is there any way to go about it. The installation can not be completed without installing the drivers first. Please help.

@thenewvideos6 I had the same issue. What I did was put in my Install Os X CD that came with my macbook and then chose the disk utility option and repaired the disk. Then I partitioned and continued the installation. Good luck!

Help! after i finished installing windows 7 and i inserted the mac dvd, nothing happens.

note! i did switch to my mac os right after and installed the updates with the mac dvd and then switched back to windows and inserted it again and nothing happened.
not sure if it has to be right after or what. when i checked the dvd on windows, it was blank. Help

I did it and it works, but when I turn on and off my computer just automaticaly goes to Windows 7 so I am confused or just lost because I whant to switch back to Mac Os but I can not can you help……..please give insrtuctions

thanks dude it worked great. I have a question though. on windows 7 i have to actually click when i want to choose something. I want it to be like my mac where i click by touching the pad, not actually clicking. HELP how do i do it??

will installing Windows 7 delete the files i have on my Mac OS? cuz i remember last time when i used boot camp to install Windows XP i lost all my files on my Mac OS…and i had to reinstall everything and put in all my music CD’s on my itunes again..and i have alot of music…alot.. -___-
