Yes, I was skeptical like a lot of people, especially after reading some of the not so positive reviews. I received the product in less time than I expected, it came very nicely packaged and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Works great with my Inspiron 6400. Gives me long lasting battery which not even my last charger (the original one) did.

Bought a used Dell Inspiron 1521 and the guy threw in a universal adapter. After about 2 days I realized the battery wasn’t charging. Lots of reasons it could have been but the adapter was one of them. I bought this adapter to try before replacing the battery (old and completely discharged) because it was very inexpensive and in no time my battery was charged.

I don’t expect this adapter to last forever but it is doing the job and clarified what was wrong. It gets warm, but not hot. Apparently, it works better on some models than others but it was well worth trying and I am glad I did.

I purchased this power cable to power a Dell Inspiron 6000 from my cousin that she donated to me, and it needed a little work. Among hard drive replacements and other hardware changes, I needed a new power cord. I simply went online to find the cheapest one (since ordering from Dell, as we all know, is a rip off) and came to page. $16 later, I had my charger at my front door step in only a couple of days.

I was pleased that the power cable worked well at first. It did its job. While only about 6 feet long, it wasn’t shockingly amazing, but it worked. However, only 2 weeks into using it, it won’t connect in certain positions. It seems like I have to “push” the cable more into my Dell Inspiron 6000 in order for it to charge. Otherwise, it will wiggle on and off which gets very annoying.

Also, it overheats pretty quickly. I’m not sure if this is my laptop or if it’s the cable, but after using the laptop plugged in for 2 hours or so, I have to take it out because it gets burning hot to the touch. This could be because the plug is the wrong voltage. I’m not quite too sure, but it is concerning.

Nevertheless, it was a cheap product and I’m glad I invested in it. I’ll see if I can come up with any fixes to the current problem, and post back later.
