Typically, I would prefer to stay with one of the more common and tested versions of the product than take my chances here.

It came in a microsoft wrapper but I goofed up and tryed to reinstall it but was told I used up all my installs and had to call in to microsoft . I have allways got 4 installs on same code with sp-1 & sp-2 so this one had been used 3 times befor I got it or sp-3 will only let you install it 1 time.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I did not know what OEM System Builder was when I bought the Windows XP Home Edition “OEM System Builder Pack” and now I have an “UNOPENED” package I can’t use. No License. OH SURE I CAN BUY AN OEM LICENSE FROM MICROSOFT!!!! GEES!

this is the OEM version. you only get to install it on one machine. once you use the activation key, you can never use it again. and microsoft won’t offer technical support either. that’s why it’s so cheap. the only way you can ever re-install it is if your hard drive crashes or your motherboard stops working for some reason. then you can call microsoft and convince them you’re not lying. you might have to take it to a repair shop and have them call. this is the price you pay for getting windows so cheap. i gave it one star because windows just sucks, not because this specific iteration is a bad buy relative to other versions. windows in general is a bad buy. i wrote this to clear up the confusion that the other two reviews cause. get a mac and you won’t have to worry about any of this bull hockey.

Great product; used in a virtual machine running on a 15 inch Mac Book Pro. Updates and patches loaded no problem. Not much to say. . . it’s Windows.
