A great Apple Computer ad for their iMac G3 computers when they began selling them in a wide selection of colors. Going beyond Bondi Blue...

This ad features the song "She's A Rainbow" by the Rolling Stones. Apple makes the best commercials in their product niche. Think Different!

    @moxie96

    I’ve always wanted one of those iMacs since the 6th grade (1998). Wasn’t till 2005 where I got my first Mac Mini & finally my iMac in 2006. But the current iMacs just don’t have the same character as these Colorful ones.

    U can probably find one of those slot load drives on ebay.

    I found mine on the curb in ’08 (strawberry?) I need to soup it up a bit more but yeah, it’s a great machine and I won’t get rid of it like my friend says I must because it’s old (so’s he but I digress) plus I lusted over having the Tangerine or lime one and this one is close enough and far more nicer to the eye than the new model out, almost clinical in it’s minimalism really. Only things I hate my DVD’s get stuck inside the slot and I can’t find the highest OS disc to install into the machine

    Apple sure had/has the aesthetic part down for sure. I remember using one of those with OS 8.X at school as I sit here on my Macbook running windows 7 :P

    i have an imac g3 in graphite – it suits me well and gives me a ‘student’ image, which is really nice. When I’m not using it to complete assignments I often play music with it.

    no, lol. the box is in a NYC dump. i wish I did though! I just upgraded the hard drive to 80gb and the ram to 1gb. i am running OSX Tiger 10.3.

    makes a great itunes jukebox, web surfer when I am working on my new Mac.

    You could buy a Mac mini and put it’s components inside the plastic case of a G3. And maybe swap the CRT for an LCD!

    If Apple had been happy with 50% margins back in the 80′s instead of the 125% margin on the early macintoshes, they would have taken most of the market. If Apple had merely licenced their operating system then moved into the high priced furniture business which is so profitable to them now, they could have taken the whole market with absolutely no risk. $200 from every computer sold, whether Apple builds it or their competitors. They could have been Microsoft, they SHOULD have been Microsoft.

    they are actually a good price, I mean an LED glass display is usually to go around 600-800 dollars, plus it is great software and hardware. They are a great deal, and people do switch to macs, I am 13, I sold my apple shares (24) and got an iMac 27 inch. They are great computers, I can’t believe I used windows for all of these years.
