The charger works great after 2 months, but then it’s will continue charging but not going throuhg the laptop

i bought this product on December 16,2009 and it is 2 months later now. About a week ago i couldn’t get it to work right I had to wiggle the cord to get my laptop to charge. Well today the cord literally exploded. I was holding it in my hand and it sparked and popped and now there is a hole in my blanket and a melted power cord =(

This product appears to be the factory replacement , althought the specifications are not exactly the same, the seller assures me that the adapter is superior to the origional. The tansition went smoothly even thought it took the seller a week to get the item in the mail, never the less it arrived with in the anticipated arrival dates,
