PROBLEM WITH THE INTERNET EXPLORER WHILE IN THE WEB THE IMAGES BLINK AND JUMP OUT OF CONTROL. TOSHIBA TECH PEOPLE BLAME THE SOFTWARE OF WINDOWS AND MICROSOFT BLAMES THE HARDWARE. AFTER 20 DAYS UNDER REPAIR NO BODY TAKES RESPONSABILITY, SO I SENT BACK TO AMAZOM AS TOSHIBA DOESN’T CARE. LOST $150. oo DUE SHIPPING CHARGES WHILE I AM AWAY IN BUSINESS AND AMAZOM WON’T CREDIT THAT COST.

The other review are incorrect . This product link is for two models. So if you are looking at the higher priced model it comes with n wireless and supports the upper limit on memory. Get the facts before posting please.

Just a quick few comments. I’ve tried 4 netbooks in the last year, starting with an 8. 9″ acer aspire 1, then going to a hp mini 110, then the hp mini 311 (in dec 2009), and ending up with the toshiba t115d this past january. My main goal was finding something small and portable, that could play a few games on, though my first purchase of the aspire one was just to play with it. I even installed the touchscreen mod on it, which was good fun, and quickly exposed me to the internals of netbooks.

the last upgrade, from the mini311 to the toshiba, was the last i’ll make for a while. I was trying to find a laptop that I could play both hidef movies (720/1080p) and team fortress 2 on. The hp mini had no problems with hi def content, but i could only get about 10FPS in tf2, so that didnt’ cut it. The toshiba however, does play tf2 quite well, running around 40fps most of the time. that said, I can’t get it to play high def content well though. Considering it does only have a 11. 6″ screen, I’ll probably just get std. def content to watch while i’m travelling, and keep this one for a while.

As far as screen sizes, the acer had an 8. 9″, as mentioned, the mini110 had a 10. 1″, and both the mini311 and the toshiba have the 11. 6″ screen, both at 1366×768, which is a great resolution, imo. If i upgrade this again, i’ll probably look for something with a culv processor, 2gb ram, 250gb drive, and a discrete video card. Some may suggest that i look at the new alienware 11″ netbook from dell, which is probably a good choice, but it looks a bit beefy for lugging around in a backpack. The price point is pretty good for the alienware though, I believe around 600USD.

hope this helps anyone looking at netbooks. . .

I’ve had this laptop for about a week now, and I love it! I love the apperence, but the mouse cicker is a finger print holder, so i wipe it like everyday. This lsptop is a perfect size to, small but perfect, not to small. The built in cam and mic is great because I do a lot of traveling, so Skype rocks!

Now this laptop is fast, at everyday uses. But I don’t do anything major, im a student, so Microsoft Office, and just web browsing.

I do alsso use this laptop for personal stuff. I have Itunes, the Itunes store runs slow, but everything else is good. I was suprised how loud the speaker was. It isn’t blasing but its perfect. The glossy screen isn’t much of a problem. The battery lasted for me about 4-5 hours denpending on what I’m doing. I do alot, im a geek.

But i sure would recremand this to someone, it’s a great laptop for it’s price. For the memory of this, I don’t download stuff often, so I hven’t had to upgrade yet.

Windows 7 makes this laptop the best!
It is just such a nice laptop.

My tiny Asus netbook was too small to do anything other than casual web browsing and emailing. When I started to need a laptop for on-site business at clients, it just didn’t cut it anymore.

So I got this Toshiba because it was a great compromise between a netbook and a full sized laptop. Like a netbook, there is no built-in CD/DVD drive, but in other respects it’s pretty much a full-strength computer. The keyboard and screen are full-sized, it has all the usual ports (including HDMI), and its performance is really good.

It’s light enough to carry around easily, and battery life is OK (maybe 4-5 hours). The keyboard does flex a little, but you don’t really notice this when typing. The screen is very sharp and evenly lit, though I had to fiddle with the color/contrast/brightness to get it to look its best.

To Toshiba’s credit, this laptop was not too loaded up with crapware; most of the pre-installed apps were Toshiba utilities that are actually sort of useful. There’s also Microsoft Works and a trial version of Norton Security and Microsoft Office.

My only complaints are minor: The built in webcam is crummy (but it does the job), the shiny black finish attracts fingerprints, and the battery bulges out of the bottom (but if it didn’t do that, it would have stuck out the back).
