Photo Explosion is an easy to use photo editing software. It is simple for an advanced user and for a beginning user the user manual is a step by step guide that can provide the needed assistance. It is a great software program at a reasonable price for all users. What is nice is instead of loading pictures onto a corporate website to order pictures you can do it from the convenience of your home computer. The special effects such as stretching out a picture to create a panorama picture. I also liked how you could put pictures together to create a different look. I loved the project studio and all the different ideas of what you could create. The creative project ideas are endless and truthfully I am still learning fun ideas. Some software that I’ve bought in the past I have gotten “bored” with because the options ran out. With Photo Explosion I will be still learning new projects and how to do them for quite some time. This is a very valuable program and I am excited to see even more of what I can do! I have tried software that was similar to Photo Shop and this is the one I would choose over all the ones I’ve tried. I also like that having this software on my computer did not slow it down. Finally I will say that if you would like simple photo editing such as whitening teeth, cropping, red eye removal and the like this is for you. If you like advanced features that include changing the appearance of a picture and adding effects then you will also like this.

    Photo Explosion 4. 0 Review

I have never used photo editing software so was looking forward to the promise of photo editing made easy! This software has so many options with it that it will do just about anything you are looking to do with your photos. A big advantage of this software is the hard copy manual that comes with it. It does a nice job explaining basic terminology. I have a hard time reading things like this electronically so the large manual was very welcome. The tutorials available in the software are helpful as well although I would have liked to see a video as I learn better that way. I especially like the variety of projects available in the project studio. It is very easy to bring your own photos into predesignd projects like calendars, magazine covers, cards, etc. You can also completely design from scratch if you like. This software works very well when you spend the time to learn it. There are many features that I can’t wait to try! Does Photo
Explosion deliver on the promise of photo editing made easy? It does but as a beginner, you need to ensure you allow time to practice!

Photo Explosion 4. 0 is great photo software! It’s packed with features and is fairly intuitive to use. Project Studio allows you to create greeting cards, calendars, family trees, journals, scrapbooks, magazine covers–the list goes on. You can either choose a project that is already set up and import the picture(s), change the words, fonts, and effects (such as shadows on the text or put frames on the photos). There are lots of options to customize! For more creative people, you can create a project from scratch. Some projects, such as booklets and brochures, are only available from scratch. There’s a text-based tutorial if you need extra help.

The Image Editor allows you to edit all aspects of your photos, from the usuals, like cropping and removing red eye, to the less common, like removing blemishes and whitening teeth. It’s not as intuitive as Project Studio, but the tutorials are pretty complete, taking you step-by-step through each activity; however, be sure you know the names of all the toolbars! I would prefer Flash movies, rather than simple text tutorials, to show how to do each action.

Photo Explosion Album allows you to organize your photos, tag (categorize) them, and share them on social networking and other websites. I particularly like the tagging feature. You can either tag a photo with the standard tags they provide (such as family or events), and you can create your own tags, and you can create subcategories (for example “Uncle Andy” under Family). Then you can search for all photos with a certain tag. I make lots of photo books using Picaboo, and I haven’t figured out how to have Picaboo call up the Photo Explosion Album, it only searches my photos folder–that’s probably a fault of Picaboo, not Photo Explosion. It’s very easy to upload photos to websites, or as a screen saver, or to the other Photo Explosion programs.

Photo Explosion includes a bonus program, PanoramaPlus, which allows you to turn a series of photos or a video into a horizontal, vertical, tiled, or 360 degree panorama. It’s a fairly simple program–download the photos or video and click “stitch”. Then you can do some editing or leave it as is. It’s also easy to export the panorama as a PDF, JPEG/TIFF/etc, or a movie, or to email it.

Photo Explosion Deluxe has these same programs plus three additional ones to create montages, morph two photos into one, and create slideshows with background music that others can view on TV. If you want these extra programs, spend the extra money and get the Deluxe version. For more basic needs, Photo Explosion 4 is all you’ll need!

    Photo Explosion 4. 0 Review

    4 stars
Being quite the novice when it comes to editing/altering pictures I was excited to try this out and see if it was something that woud be user friendly. The software downloaded no problem and I was able to open the program with no problem. I played around with a couple pictures of my son and found the tutorials extremely helpful. As far as being able to figure out things on my own I would only have been able to do minor adjustments without the tutorials but that’s what the tutorials are for right? I added color to portions of a black and white picture and by my second try I thought it looked really good. I also thought the projects were fun to play around with and a neat extra feature. These were all super easy to figure out and play around with. Loved being able to make your own photo cards! All in all I found this to be a great photo editing program and it was perfect for my needs.
