This program actually comes with a 256 page manual. There is also A large amount of help, support and video tutorials included on the disk. It is simple to take a video file and convert it to the format you choose then burn it to disk. It is a bit more complicated trying to edit the video. Here is the best part though to help anyone get over that hump. Youtube has a ton of video tutorials showing how to do just about anything this program has to offer. . . and in a step by step fashion. It does not get any better then that! I made my first movie tonight from a flash video file and Windows Media Center recognized it, something I had not been able to do because of uncompatible compression. The DVD also played without a hitch in my home dvd player.

I use a free program (that I have so far found to be the best, being free} to convert a flash . flv file to a standard format. It is Free FLV Converter. The site can be Googled. I download the . flv file and save it to a folder. I then use FLV Converter to convert the file to a . avi format. I then use Movie Edit Pro 16 to import/open the file. There are a ton of formats available to save the file as. example: . avi, quicktime, etc. I choose Widows Media Export format. After converting the file to a recognizable format your file/movie is ready to do with what ever you please. There also is an option that simply allows you to export your video to Youtube with nothing more then a click of the mouse. It will even sign you in automatically should you wish. This program has a ton of features that would be difficult to cover here. . . but just go to youtube to see what Media Edit Pro has to offer. BTW, some of the youtube videos cover earlier versions of Movie Edit Pro 16 but they all apply to this pretty much backward compatible program. They all share a similar interface.

I’m surprised this product only has one review. I looked through the reviews for a variety of products — Adobe’s Primier Elements, Pinnacle, Movie Maker, Corel, etc and was shocked by the extensive negative reviews in most if not all of them. Now I’m not a power user — just a photographer needing to expand capability with some video but I didnt want to get bogged down with crashes and generally malfunctioning software. I rolled the dice on this software and was surprised to find it had all the features I needed and worked just fine. I do have a high powered machine with a good 6 gigs of RAM and a hot graphics card so your mileage may not be as good if you dont, but this software definitely lives up to expectations and was purchased at Best Buy for a cheap $50. Great value! Thumbs up!
