I ordered a laptop computer, was notified it was to be shipped, then the sale
was canceled “out of stock”, then same item was listed by Amazon $300 higher “in
stock”. Was told it was a “new Seller’s mistake”. Never shop Amazon again on line.

I did not buy this laptop. I bought one a year and a half ago. After about 9 months the motherboard blew. Ok, pissed but no big deal it is still under warranty. 8 months later it blew again and surprise surprise it is no longer under warranty. I was thinking that the motherboard that was replaced should at least have a one year warranty. NOPE! I loved my Toshiba computer. It was pretty and performed real well. But what is the point when the parts are made to fail just out of warranty. I don’t want to be buying computers every year. I know HP’s have a bad harware failure rate. But my mom had an HP for 6 years and it served her great until she felt it was time for an upgrade. It still works and sits collecting dust. If all the other computers fail she will go back to old glory. I will never trust Toshiba again. Burn me once shame on you Burn me twice shame on me. And getting a Toshiba was a big step for me. I am American and I always want to buy American. I didn’t like the big Toshiba label on the top of my computer. But I am also cheap and can’t pass on a good deal. When I used the computer I fell in love and became proud of the label. Now the computer just sits around like a junked car. Everytime I see it I want to smash it against the wall. Who knows, maybe my one computer or just that model had a defect that made motherboards go early but if that is true then they should cover the repairs like a vehicle recall. I will never trust Toshiba again and if you value the Franklins in your wallet, neither should you.

This unit lack any real power to preform little more than surfing the internet. Poor quality budget parts, processor, etc. The I3 core is a very cheap and slow processor. Cost only a few dollars. The video card isn’t going to do much for you.

I would not recommend this laptop as it better positioned for the late 90′s.

You can get about the same for half the money. Lots of used parts as well. REFURBISHED PARTS. They do not have to disclose if its under a certain %.

Received the computer in a short time as promised. The laptop works great, my only problem was with the software, The trial version of Microsoft Student and Home was a problem as no “key” was provided to activate it so I ended up having to purchase it online, no problem after that.

We purchased a Toshiba laptop for our daughter a year and a half ago! After 6 months the hard drive crashed and after MANY calls, all of which I had to initiate they never called back when they said they would, they finally replaced the hard drive. They made NO EFFORT to save any of the data on the broken hard drive. Guess what? After 11 months the hard drive crashed AGAIN! I was told that the computer what out of warranty, the replaced hard drive only had a 30 day warranty. They offered to replace the hard drive for $300 . . . are they NUTS. They have already provide me with 2 BAD hard drives and now they want me to pay for a third. Also, please note that again NO ONE EVER returned my calls. When they said they would call back within 72 hours I waited an entire week. No Call, I called them back. I was also told that because my original warranty was expired over 6 months ago there was nothing they could do. When I pointed out the fact that it was only 6 days past 6 months and that when I made the call, that no one returned, it was under 6 months. Then they said, well even if had been under 6 months their still wasn’t anything that they could do. So I concluded that the “6 month line” was some standard line and when I called them on it they just back peddled. The computer may work just fine at first, but what really counts is what the company does when things don’t go perfectly and I can tell you that Toshiba WILL NOT be there for you. Avoid this company. I have computers from HP, DELL and Gateway and I can tell you first hand that you will be treated better by any other company. Stay away from Toshiba.
